One of the things I like most about photographing weddings is the unexpected candidness of it all. Sure, there is a traditional schedule and formula they all typically follow for the most part, but each wedding tends to take on it’s own qualities and quirks as based on the couple – who they are individually, what their personalities are like, and the things and people that make them tick.
Lauren and Nathan’s wedding day was one of those that just felt easy – it was laid back, and fun, and incorporated so many things that mean a lot to them. It was apparent that they are each in their element when surrounded by their friends and family – I saw it on Lauren’s face when she was continually cracking up with her sister, and on Nathan’s face when he was doing the same while surrounded by his buddies. We drove from Bloomington out to Heyworth between the ceremony and reception, stopping at Lauren and Nathan’s home where they got a chance to see their pups as well as have some drinks with their friends in the backyard. While they may have been dressed up in their wedding day garb, this afternoon sorta just felt like a bunch of friends hanging out and enjoying each other’s company, which felt perfectly Lauren and Nathan.

What a beautiful and meaningful photographic remembrance of Lauren and Nathans wedding day. No words are necessary..the pictures tell it all. Congrats to the photographer and to all the wedding party.
Thank you, Margaret!
