There’s something about a couple like Bri and Sam – a couple who has spent weeks and miles apart, and who I imagine counted down the days leading up to this one simply as the sheer amount of time before they could marry this person they fell so heavily for, rather than counting down the days to the wedding itself.

Bri’s dad spoke at the reception about how he used to have a hard time imagining his only daughter in a family otherwise full of sons meeting a man who he would eventually be able to give her hand to down the road; he went on to explain how once the family met Sam, the boy she had met while in college at Black Hawk, he then instead couldn’t possibly imagine giving her hand to any other man in this world but him.

Bri giggled throughout the entire day, and her laughter has a way of sweetly casing each of her emotions – when her dad shared this thought in his toast, every time she was on the verge of tears, and when she was dancing to Taylor Swift with Sam in the middle of their dance floor. In all of these moments, Sam gazed back at her like he had found the most perfect human on this earth, and realized just how lucky he was to have done so.

It felt obvious that everyone who knows Briana and Sam has known that they belonged together from the moment they began. They are the kind of couple who legitimately look at each other like it’s the first time, every single time, and there’s nothing better than capturing a love like that.
