tom & amber | eclectic warehouse 109 wedding.

It’s hard to decide where to begin when telling you about Tom and Amber, because there are simply so many things I could say about them. Tom and Amber are the kind of people who hug hard and dance even harder. They’re the kind of people who go barefoot to their own wedding ceremony. They’re the kind of people who make time for a good beer paired with good friends on one of the biggest days of their lives. For those of you who already know them, none of this is news to you – these little things all add up to be a few of the many reasons why you love them. Tom and Amber are joy personified.

As Amber’s friend, Kristin, toasted to the newlyweds, she explained how their girlfriends, Amber included, always talked in the past about how the guy Amber ended up with needed to be her opposite in terms of personality – someone to balance her out, if you will. Kristin laughed as she pointed out the fact that Amber ended up going an entirely different direction – and instead, found someone whose intensity and excitement matched hers. Tom’s brother’s toast followed, and he also shared his reaction from when he first got to know Amber – everyone seemed to have that same ‘holy-shit-there-are-two-of-them!’ experience, which I was able to witness in many moments throughout the course of their day.

In addition, there were so many Tom-and-Amber-inspired elements within the wedding itself – the beer theme being woven into the décor, the pit stop at Werk Force Brewing Co, and the guys’ reception shirts, as Tom works for MillerCoors. The bright pops of color in the music sheet placemats, which had belonged to Amber’s grandmother, mixed with the perfectly eclectic décor pieces and invitations, designed by Amber herself. The emphasis on their loved ones – the way Tom made sure to get a photo with his dad in front of a particular car because they were missing Jalopy Fest that weekend, and the way Amber surprised her mom with her older brother walking her down the aisle. Tom and Amber have this big, shareable, barefoot-on-the-dance-floor kind of love, and spending this day with them and their people made me happy to simply be near it, let alone photograph it.
