Where are you located, and do you travel?

I am based out 0f Chicago but completely down to travel. So if you’re in another area and thinking, “hey, I wonder if she’ll travel to us?”, shoot me an email and we’ll chat.

How far do you book out?

I generally book weddings roughly anywhere from 1-1.5 years out. When it comes to engagement + lifestyle sessions, I generally book around 1-2 months in advance, depending on the season. My weekend session dates are limited and often go quickly, but I do book plenty of weekday sessions as well.

Do you have a second shooter for weddings?

I do offer a package add-on that includes second shooter coverage for weddings. I shot weddings solo for 2.5 years and continue to do so at times still, and can assure you that I am both confident and comfortable doing so.  That said, hiring a second shooter allows us to get even more coverage of the moments throughout your wedding day, as well as additional angles and perspectives.

Do you shoot elopements? What about destination weddings?

Definitely, to both! I’ve traveled to St, Augustine, FL , Cancun, Mexico, and Denver, CO to photograph weddings in the past, and always love an opportunity to do so. Shoot me an email and we’ll discuss the details – I’d love to hear about your plans.

What is the turnaround expectation for receiving our images?

My turnaround time also varies as based on the season.  Typically, my turnaround in the spring, winter, and early summer months is around 4-6 weeks. During the late summer and fall months, the turnaround is approximately 6-8 weeks. In addition, I always edit in the order I shoot in order to be fair to all clients.

Are you insured, and do you have backup gear?

Sure am! I always shoot with two cameras, and would be happy to provide a certificate of insurance if your venue happens to request it.

Can we meet before making the decision to book you as our wedding photographer?

Absolutely! It is important for couples to choose a wedding photographer who not only embraces the photographic style they’ve envisioned for their wedding day, but also to make sure that they vibe well with each other.  I love being able to meet with clients before they book (whether that’s in person if you’re local to Chicago, or via FaceTime or a phone call if not), so just let me know if you are interested in doing so.

So we’ve booked you for the wedding – what’s next?

If you’ve booked an engagement session as part of your wedding package, our next step will be to set a date for your session.  I absolutely love shooting engagement sessions because they allow me to not only get to know the two of you, but also allow us all to work together before your wedding day, and thus, make you both feel that much more comfortable when the big day comes.

That said, if you choose not to book an engagement session, you are still welcome to shoot me an email at anytime leading up to your wedding day.  The next formal email you will receive from me comes a few months before your wedding, which is when I will send the questionnaire that will help us start formulating the specifics of your wedding day photo timeline.  If you have questions before that (about anything at all!), I would love to hear from you.

Is there anywhere particular that you recommend for getting prints made?

You have the option of ordering professional quality prints directly through the PASS online gallery you will receive within your wedding or session package; PASS is partnered with WHCC, a professional print lab that does gorgeous work. However, you will also be provided with a waiver release form, which allows you to get prints made wherever you choose.

Is it okay if I share the images on my social media accounts once I receive them?

Definitely. I am thrilled when clients want to share images with family and friends, and love to see which ones end up being your favorites. My only two requests are that you mention my photography business when doing so (a simple tag will suffice!) and refrain from using any additional filters on them beyond my original edit.
