If there’s a person I can claim to have known for his or her entire life, outside of my family members, it’s Allison. Our mothers have been friends for years (and years, and years); as kids, we all went on family vacations together, created New Years Eve traditions together, and grew to think of ourselves and our siblings as extended family members, of sorts. As we got older, all of us kids went our own ways – while still seeing each other here and there, our lives took different trajectories.

Over the past year, life and proximity allowed Allison and I to get to know each other all over again as adults, and even though as a kid she was always “Erin’s little sister” to me, I am happy to now consider her not only my lifelong extended family member, but also my friend.

Another friend of mine, Jessica, had talked with me recently about going out and doing some shooting together around the city – so I talked Allison into being our impromptu model that morning, and we did just that. Thanks to Allison for getting up early, and for putting up with our photo talk; and thanks to Jessica for reminding me of how refreshing it is to shoot for fun every once in awhile. Pin itPin itPin it
